Atwood Oceanics Inc. said Friday that a subsidiary has been contracted by Noble Energy Inc. to drill off the coast of Cameroon with its Atwood Aurora jackup rig.
The Houston-based offshore contractor (NYSE: ATW) said that the contract, beginning in October, has a firm duration of 240 days plus an optional well with a 40-day duration. The day rate is about $134,00.
Exploration and production company Noble (NYSE: NBL) is also based in Houston.
